History of the Ojibway People/ Library Chair

Okay! Here's a close up of the chair I did for the upcoming Great River Regional Library Gala. Each artist picked a book to use as inspiration, mine was History of the Ojibway People. I chose the book because the author William Warren is an ancestor of mine. My family history on my mother's side of the family is chronicled in the begining of this wonderful book.

52 artists, 52 chairs, 52 books. This Saturday, the 20th will be an all day event at the newly opened library, meet the artists at 6, silent auction, and a live auction for 5 chosen chairs. The proceeds will benefit the library. If you get a chance check it out! It was so cool to do the chair! I woodburned the wood and leather, and used puffy paint to make the design look as though it was beaded.

I'll let you know who bought the chair! (Hope someone does! )
